In short: Outstanding scenery, challenging course In full: Excellent scenery and a very well thought out course. Little up and down, but that keeps it interesting. Not masses of support, perhaps locals aren't aware it's on because most the runners seem to be from clubs. Would like to do again, but please bring the start forward, 10:30 is too late and results in running in excessive heat. Date of review: July 4, 2011

In short: Definitely a must do race. One of my favourites. In full: I usually target fast PB courses, but this is a race I do just for 'me'. Everything about the race is spot on. I was so pleased to see from the Results that there was a big increase in numbers. Did the name change help? I tend to find out about some of the races I do from Bryan Dale's race photo website www.racephotos.org.uk. This time around it looks like I am going to get 5 race photos totally free. These are the icing on the cake for me. My son is so proud to show his mum on the Internet to his friends. Date of review: July 4, 2011

In short: Very tough, but a fab race In full: This was my first half marathon, and it was hard work! The organisation was fantastic, and the marshalls were lovely. I'm a particularly slow runner and found myself running on my own at the back from about mile 2. However, I really enjoyed it and the support from the marshalls was fab! I'm looking forward to giving it another go next year and hopefully not finishing last! Date of review: July 3, 2011

In short: Hot, Hilly, lovely little race In full: Loved the course and the set up. Very friendly all the way through. Loved the fact this is not a huge event i.e easy parking, drinks, finish line etc etc. tough course but will defo be doing next year. Well done everyone today. Date of review: July 3, 2011

In short: Very pretty course, lots of dusty farm tracks, more undulating than expected! In full: My first time for this event which is very local for me. The atmosphere was really good, quite informal although there appeared to be a hell of a lot of very athletic looking people which was a bit intimidating! Marshalling was done by local volunteers and school children and they did a very good job on a blistering hot day. Very welcoming finish area with excellent post-race support and a nice, family fun atmosphere. Would definitely make this one an annual trip although I think it would be a lot less pleasant in the wet. Date of review: July 3, 2011

In short: great event passing 5 Church steeples- trails and quiet country lanes. In full: a must do race - with free downloadable high resolution photos from racephotos by Bryan Dale at 3or4 locations on the course as a reminder of the day. plenty of marshals at the key places to ensure a safe event, well done race organiser. I think this is the fourth time I have done it be back next year. Date of review: July 7, 2010

In short: Heaven! In full: Fabulous scenery, and at such a lovely time of the year. Bit of a challenge, given the amount of tractor ruts, kissing gates, etc to navigate. The old 'soft-shoe shuffle' technique won't get you very far here! Delightfully small field (after Humber Bridage last week) and friendly marshalls. Thanks to the school kids for their help too. This is a gem of a race - don't change a thing. Date of review: July 5, 2010
