In short:
In full: Wondered what I was letting myself in for with the heavy snow on the way up. Not knowing the area it took a while to work out where the registration desk was as there were no signs anywhere! However, Everyone was really friendly and it was well supported by volunteers. Would have been nice to have recieved a token medal and even basic goody bag ie bannana or energy bar after the price of the entry fee. PB potential if weather ok. Got close to mine even in icy conditions.

In short: Great day, organisation deserves a medal.
In full: Having entered a few events where they decided not to post out numbers and on each occasion it had gone badly wrong with delays I was dubious of Serpentine's decision to follow this method.
My fears were negated completely by the way they organised this and by the sheer number of volunteers to ensure a faultless and efficient process. I would like to say thanks to these volunteers.. there must have been hundreds of you! Well done.

In short: Best way to start a new decade!
In full: This was absolutely worth getting out of bed for early (relatively) on a freezing cold (though bright) New Years Day. Flawless organization, no registration or toilet queues, wonderful and friendly marshals, no bottlenecks at start or finish and a very fast course. The icing on the cake? The PB I wanted. Definitely on the list for 2011 already.

In short: Perfect way to start the year
In full: This race has become a tradition for me over the years, and it never disappoints. Lovely route, flawless organisation, and just the right number of competitors. Love the hat - much better than another T shirt or medal.
