In short: superbly organised, a great race
In full: This is a very good race to do. It is challenging enough to be interesting and though it has some climbs the downhills seem to compensate so it is a quick course. It was windy this year so PB's were hard to come by, but that's life.
This was my third time at this event and I intend to do it again.

In short: My first time at this one - won't be my last!
In full: A very pretty run through the charming Cheshire countryside. The supporting crowds were sporadic, but very encouraging and the last 2 miles downhill make the climb in the 2nd half of the run worthwhile.

In short: I love Helsby Half! Got a 7 minute PB despite the wind and the little ups. Marshalls very friendly and encouraging. Parking not a problem if you take a few runners with you and get there early-ish. They do warn about this -read the information!

In short: Blew the cobwebs away
In full: Pleasant course. Really friendly atmosphere.
Could not quite get under 1:40 with the high winds, but still great fun!
Only issue was the half full paper cups at the water stations....bottles next time please!

In short: Great rural course on roads and undulating lanes. Great value.
In full: You never know what the weather is going to do at this time of the year - it felt quite exposed in the windy and blustery conditions but this is the country.
Many many positives for the race - comms, parking, bag drop, refreshments, marshalling, support, route, scenery etc....
Only comment for improvement would be organisation at the start line.
