In short: Well organised, fast course, with the majority of the last wave being first timers, would have liked to have seen more of the Olympic Park

In short: reasonable race through dull london borough
In full: was advertised heavily as being a chance to run in the Olympic Park - in reality you did a v short dash towards the stadium and then b ack again while completing the other 9.5k on the roads of stratford! baggage drop was shambollic, but race was generally well organised with clear mile markers and good marshalling - although route perhaps a little narrow in places? water half way round and decent t-shirt and goody bag.

In short: Cobbled-together feel
In full: Organisation of the associated fun day was good but the course was poor, far too tight in places early on for that volume of runners.
The route was fairly grim and the Olympic Park section a total let-down.

In short: My result is not published despite being sure the chip worked on the day.
In full: Well organized race. Very friendly for beginners, as usual in a big event. Traffic was diverted properly, good prizes, mementos. The problem started when I did not received my race pack prior to the event. I called the organizers ans was informed another race pack would be available for me on the race day. I collected it, placed my chip on the right way but my result was not published. I am still waiting for the organizer's reply...

In short: Nice, easy going race with a good atmosphere
In full: My only complaint is that there were places where I saw other runners cheat by crossing over to the other side of the road or missing out the park and so cutting KMs off their race; which means that runners who completed the whole 10k cannot rely on their race position being correct.

In short: Great - apart from my results didn't come in
In full: As with all 'Great Runs', it worked well, great atmosphere and a pleasant easy course with good 'boost' zones with music.
Unfortunately, my result is nowhere to be seen, especially disappointing as I know it is probably the best time i've ran since 2002, so am gutted.
Timing chips work at small local events, so how at an event like this did mine fail?
Very poor - hence the low ratings in the relevant categories.

In short: Interesting route even though it's not the prettiest. Brilliantly well organised. Will be back next year!
