In short: Great race - really well organised In full: The course was a perfect blend of running around the Top Gear race track and then onto the scenic Surrey country lanes.
The race was really well organised with very upbeat and encourgaging marshalls which really helped on the second lap as the gaps between runners widened.
I would recommend a race organised by Events to Live to anyone, everything works so smoothly (except my running!).
Many Thanks to the organisers and marshalls for their support. Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: Good effort, shame about the weather In full: Only did the 10 and slightly relieved as I finished just as the rain started to get worse, felt sorry for thise with another lap to do.
Course is 3 miles on the airfield followed by 7 on not so quite, undulating country roads which call for some care and attention on the part of runners, some of whom wore headphones despite being advised not to do so.
Fantastic marshalling which is always one of the big plus points on events run by this organiser.
A decent run to build up mileage, many using the 20 as last minute prep for the Amsterdam marathon.
And a great medal to finish with.
Thumbs down to a few things beyond the organisers control. The weather - Temepstuous during the latter stage of the 10 and final half of the 20. Portaloos - the hire company placing them on the boggiest piece of grass in two blocks meant that half were hidden from view and the gents totally obscurred - with an ankle deep in water splodge to get to them. Bike race on same roads - local police should have been aware that having two events using same roads at the same time might cause problems given the narrow roads.
Thankfully the marshalls made up for the dismal weather and organisers were powerless to do anything about the cycling event.

In short: Excellent marshalls, organisation and momento, great morning out In full: Did the 10 miler but also couldn't find anywhere to rate it. This race had everything you could ask for - well organised, extremely happy marshals despite the rain, plentiful water/gel stations, chip timing, friendly fellow runners, varied scenery, nice medal, mars bar and massages. Thanks! Highly recommended Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: Good Slick Race - Brilliant Marshalls In full: A good challenging race. Despite it being 2 circuits it really wasn't disheartening due to the fabulous stewards. This was a great race to prepare for the New York Marathon in November and I would recommend this race. Many thanks also for a great medal. Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: A good event, despite the conditions In full: An ideal "long training run" for the Dublin marathon. The course was scenic (though running across the airfield in driving wind and rain was testing to say the least) and the organisation good. Well marshalled and much kudos to their ability to stay cheerful despite having to stand out for so long in terrible conditions. Only minor suggestion is that the pre-race instructions might be a bit clearer on directions as to how to find the site (but perhaps that's just my route-finding skills) Date of review: October 4, 2010

In short: What a difference compared to Run to the Beat last week! In full: Race well signposted, easy parking, picking up my race number took just a couple of minute. Bit of a queue for the loo but that was the only minor issue. Despite having to stand out in atrocious weather for 4+ hours the marshalls were fab, shouting encouragement and just generally looking happy to be there which can't be easy when it's windy, cold and peeing with rain! Fellow runners were also a lovely bunch, at one point we had 4 of us all running together round the race track. Lots of water/jelly baby/gel stations and the post race Mars bar and training calendar were very much appreciated. And at £18 for an affiliated entry an absolute bargain! In short: Well organised race In full: Glad I opted for the 10 miler, marshalls were very encouraging, the medal was fantastic. More portaloos next year please. Date of review: October 3, 2010

In short: Ran the 10 miler - fab race In full: Tempest 10 - one lap of Spitfire course but can't find where to rate it. Excellent organisation as always - ran the 20 in March and happy to be finshing at 10 this time. You choose 10 or 20 - why disheartening? Fab atmosphere - dmvac runner paced me through my last 2 miles and I got my pb - many thanks.Best Mars bar ever and I now have the 10/20 medal set. Bring on the Molehills! In short: Despite the weather .... loved it. In full: Thanks to all the Marshalls - can't be much fun standing out in that lot.
Loved the race despite the weather. Just hilly enough to be a real slog. Date of review: October 3, 2010
