In short: Great organisation, lovely atmosphere - definitely one to keep in the calendar
In full: This is a lovely race starting with 2 miles round the Dunsfold Aerodrome then out into Surrey countryside. There are a few hills to keep things interesting but is still a fairly fast course. An excellent race for first-timers with really good organisation, nice and simple. Will definitely be racing here again.

In short: Excellent event
In full: An excellent event - great course, great set-up. Well worth doing - shame I had to do the 10 rather than the 20. Bring on 2013. Well done guys, thanks for your hard work.

In short: Love the 10 mile distance, and there are not enough of them around. Good organisation, on road run, I would not say this is a beginners race but that is only because it is 10 miles.
In full: This is the second time I have run this race. Last year I found it hard, but also recognised it would would be a really good run to train for as it is a challenge but not a distance that is too scary if you are a social/casual runner. Much more enjoyable this year, more well prepared and paced myself. Some sneaky hills though; one just after you run out of the nice flat aerodrome so watch out for that. Will def. do this again next year A*. Thank you to the organisers

In short: testing run, well marshalled with a superb medal!
In full: REally enjoyed this run, first 3 miles around the top gear track to get you warmed up and ready for the undulations from 4 to 8 miles. Hill at mile 8 felt like mount everest though. Marshalling was fab, water stations with gels and jelly babies were frequent and superb medal to greet you at the end. 20miler next year? we'll see!

In short: Top event
In full: Great to see the regulars at this and the co-run Spitfire 20 return for another fantastic morning in the Surrey Hills. Overal numbers seemed much higher than in previous years but pleased to say that the organisation coped admirably, plenty of car parking and portaloos at the start and enough water stations, gels and jelly babies around the course to keep you going. As usual all of the marshals were incredibly supportive, waiting on the course to cheer in the last runner nearly 5 hours after the start.
An excellent run for beginners and those training for a marathon, the comaraderie amongst fellow runners is brilliant, full of support for each other. It is like a good training run in the company of your best friends.
I only did the 10 this time before taking up position in the finish funnel removing runners chip timing devices. Not sure which is worse doing the extra 10 or sitting on a small stool for a few hours ;)
Without exception every runner I met at the finish looked happy and proud of what they had achieved and I would like to thank them for the way in which they showed their appreciation of the marshals and other volunteers on the day.

In short: Well organised, friendly, not easy to get to without a car!
In full: This was a lovely race; the marshals were excellent, the music played by the DJ at the end was quality, and the race director shaking hands with finishers was a nice touch.
The course is interesting - there seems to be far more up than down, even though the start and finish are in the same place!
The cyclists with the 20 mile leaders did a good job (yes, two of them did lap me...) - got people out of the way effectively without being aggressive.
Minor quibbles - the race info said there would be a bag drop for those without cars, which seemed to be news to the people in the registration tent, but they did look after my bag for me. The info also said the nearest station was 3 miles away - it was actually closer to 7 but, to be fair, I did have access to a map when I booked, so it's my own daft fault if I struggled to get there!
I did feel sorry for the marshals picking up all the plastic cups - a couple of boxes for us to chuck them into would have saved them a lot of trouble.

In short: Well organised, nice medal, a few steep bits!
In full: bottled water would have been preferable, don't like stopping for cups, puts me off my stride

In short: Well organised and fab medal!
In full: Plus : This is how races should be organised .. quick and easy on-the-day entry, prompt start, good marshalling, accurate mile markers, PB potential course, jelly babies, water and gels during the race, fantastic large bespoke medal, chocolate, plenty of water supplies, a DJ and the option of a well-deserved leg massage ..

Minus : No iPods/MP3s allowed .. sensible and considerate use of one should be the decision of the runner.

Plastic cups at the water stations ..

I would definitely run this race again!
