In short: really good workout with some challenging hills
In full: I enjoyed the course, hills and all. Excellent organisation by Dartford Harriers with really encouraging marshalls.Defintely one to do again.

In short: Ouch! Where did those hills come from
In full: First half marathon, not prepared for the mileage or that final hill - fist time i have actually stopped dead unable to move, thankfully got going again rather slowly, on my knees.

Superb marshals and the local support was quite unexpected - plenty of encouragement and sprinklers/ hoses supplementing the water stations.

In short: If u like hills, this is a good one for you.
In full: Great organization, supportive marshalling and spectators - esp a couple of people who had their sprinklers on for runners to go through (v hot day). It's very hilly though - and there's a killer hill at the 10 mile spot, just when you're starting to tire. Some lovely views. But yes - knowing all that would do it again!

In short: Great and very well organised race!
In full: Superbly organised race - from parking to finish. Challenging course with a few hills though nice scenery for most of it. Plenty of marshalls and all very friendly and helpful. There are easier half marathons if you are thinking of running your first or if you are after a PB. This is however a great race if you enjoy the distance and perhaps are training for a Marathon. My only improvement suggestion would be to have small water bottles instead of mugs at the water stations.

In short: Tough!!!! - but great support from the housing estate!
In full: I was doing fine with the course until mile 9 where I really started to struggle and ended up having to walk the majority of the rest of the course to the end (though I did resist the temptation to walk the lap of the running track at the end). Must do more training for my next one!

Marshalls were amazing and there were so many of them - did feel guilty every time I walked past them as they tried to encourage to start running again with the comments "it is all down hill from here". The support in the housing estate was also well appreciated - couldn't believe the numbers who were cheering from their windows and outside their houses.

Yes I will probably do it again next year - but definitely with more training!!!!

Also - more portaloos please at the start.............

In short: If this was cricket it's a Test!
In full: Good course which had strategically well placed challenges in the way of hills.

The hill between 10 and 11 miles was a good test of mental resolve just as the finish was entering my thoughts.

I actually got a PB but that was due to an increase in my weekly mileage rather than the layout of the course.

In short: Great new course - more hills, more of a challenge - but fun
In full: Good new course with the extra hill at mile 6, and the evil steep Gore Road hill at mile 10.
Thankfully the clouds stayed for most of the race...I'll be back again next year
