In short: Great race with great organisation, i really enjoyed the day.
In full: This was the most organised race i have ever run, with the only fault being the starting penns letting all colours in with nobody checking peoples colours.
The experience was great from the time i signed up for the marathon, until the drive home from Brighton. Unlike others on here, i received regular e mails about the marathon. The expo was very well organised, with friendly saff. Nice touch the massages for charity on friday. The start was good at Preston park, but perhaps could of had a bit more entertainment on the stage, but still the best starting experience i have had in such a big event.
The race itself was a brilliant and i would like to say a big thank you to the people of Brighton and everyone who was there for there support on the day. The water pouches i found were a great idea and energy blocks were also great idea. This was my 8th marathon i have done with this being the 2nd hardest course i have run, but it was the best exerience i have had at any running race i have run. I would agree with others on here that the Brighton is far better than London, but perhaps English marathons could learn from some european marathons which bring other things to the marathon experience. But on the whole the marathon comes top of the table in the complete running race experience. On top of this a pb on the day and i am already looking forward to next year.

In short: An excellent race for both runners and spectators.
In full: My first full marathon and i was extremely impressed by just how well organised it was. From the park and ride through to meeting my family at the end everything was seamless.
All my worries about "hitting the wall" or not getting enough fluids and carbs during the race were unfounded as it seemed everytime i felt the need for something it was just infront of me.
The Brighton crowd support was fantasic and the weather too.
My family was also impressed with the free smartphone app to help track your supported runners.
Would definately run again, very impressed.

In short: Great Scenery, Great Support all around the course, Great organisation - Great Day!
In full: Large field but well organised start in Preston Park. There were Pacers with 15 minute gaps in the start pens which were really helpful. I latched onto the pair in my corral, they were very supportive and they really helped drag me round the course to achieve my goal - a PB!
Superb support all throughout the course and day despite an at times chilly wind off the Downs. Pre run I was worried about being able to see the course laid out in front of me as it roughly follows the coast to one side to the other of the town but I found it more of a help in the end giving me 'targets' to 'knock off'. Loads of water stations & Powerade (liked the pouches instead of bottles). My only other previous Marathon experience was London last year - the finish and crowd at Brighton were every bit as good if not better. I'm coming back.

In short: Great Atmosphere!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed my first Brighton marathon and got my first sub 3 (02:52:33) depsite the course not being as flat as expected and some strong winds.

What made this marathon so special was the excellent crowd support lining the entire course - really on a par with London.

I won't be running next year as I have good for age for London but will be back!

In short: Brilliant, loved it, achieved the time I wanted. I am coming back for more!
In full: It's the best organised race I have done, even the park and ride worked well.

The course was fantastic, I run in a hilly area so this was flat by comparison.

No complaints, can't wait for next year.

In short: Just as good as London!
In full: What an amazing day! Brighton was my second marathon after completing London 5 years ago, I have to say in terms of atmosphere it was equally as good! The crowds were awesome!

Well organised race with plenty of water and powerade stops. Great marathon for your family and friends to watch, I saw mine on 5 different occasions!

Will definitely do Brighton again and recommend it to anyone thinking of doing a marathon!

In short: A great first marathon
In full: Really enjoyed it, very well organised, good opportunities for supporters to see you and great crowd. Yup the bit by the Power station was soulless but the music there was good.
