In short: good race again, lots of water and good support in the villages
In full: thanks again to brentwood and their sponsors including the local authority for another good year. good signage up for drivers and good marshalling with plenty of water stations (was quite warm in parts yesterday!). testing hill at end, and loads of spectators as came down finish shute - never seen so many at a local race! thanks again!

In short: well organised in a nice setting, the hill at 12 miles is a killer though.
In full: this race was my first organised half marathon, though im training for London Marathon and was very good for people new to that distance. the only down points were the ban on earphones (ridiculous rule) and the big roundabout at 2 and a half miles (though it was marshalled well). i will probably be back again next year.

In short: Really nice race
In full: Struggled with a cold and groin strain, but still really enjoyed the morning. Well organised and the marshalls were all very good and encouraging, even a limping wimp like me!

In short: Well done Brentwood for a great morning
In full: Well organised race, lots of friendly marshalls, good support especially being lots of lanes with few footpaths.

Fast 2 mile start, dodgy A12 crossing the plebty of country lanes and picturesque villages that i never knew were there.

More undulating than expected and a testing incline to sap your strength at the end, hey ho still got a PB even with wasting 30 seconds at 2 miles with a loose lace, shocker!

In short: Well worth getting out of bed for..
In full: Nice build up run for London marathon training - very pleasant course - no real hills to contend with. Few dodgy junctions however, but marshalls were able to keep control of the traffic. Good number of water stations. would certainly do this again.

In full: What you might call a challenging course - nothing too unpleasant but plenty of testing inclines. The last hill was a particular killer though - I really thought my legs were going to give out but then I did take 2.5 min off my PB so it wasn't just down to the hill.

Organisation seemed very smooth and having a marching band lead us to the start was an excellent touch. Big thanks to all the marshalls who were excellent as ever.

In short: Quick course with good support in a few of the villages on the way.
In full: Course is fast, but take care not to go out too fast, it's tempting as the first 2 miles are downhill. The last mile is uphill and a good test for tired legs, I almost blew a gasket going up it today!

Mild weather brought out the spectators in many of the villages. Didn't experience the usual problems with traffic in the last few miles today, although did just about get clipped by a caravan.

Organisation seemed good this year. Everything underway on time and plenty of marshals along the course. Water stations well stocked when I went through.

Thumbs up from me.
