In short: Perfect conditions for a fast run along the sea front
In full: Great conditions this year, not too hot and very little wind. Organisation seemed to be better than previous years. Was well supported along the way, which always helps. Well done Southend AC

In short: Very Fast Course
In full: If you're looking for a PB then this is the 10k for you, a couple of gentle inclines are all you have to contend with the whole way round.

I could of done with some better instructions for finding the race - a postcode to put in the sat nav or the name of the actual road where the car car park was would have been nice, but this didn't spoil the event for me and running a PB is always a nice feeling!

In short: Good PB potential, start needs organising!
In full: The sun was shining and it made Southend a lovely place to be on a Sunday morning. The support was great from both runners and spectators. The course was very flat and as the tide was in the scenery was nice too. The start needs organising, was there a horn? If so I didnt here it and the small 'start' sign was poor! The finish could have been better - my number wasnt marked down until at least two minutes after I had crossed the line. Thank God I had my stop watch! With a bit of organising this could be a great race!

In short: Lovely seaside run almost spoilt by basic organisation mistakes
In full: I really enjoyed this run - it was my first for a while - and the route along the sea front in Southend was great, as was the weather. There were plenty of locals out cheering, and other runners were very positive.

However, although the people helping out were very friendly, there were some real organisational let-downs. There were no signs for the race coming into Southend, nor signs for parking nearer the race venue. There were no changing or shower facilities, and even more shockingly no locker facilities. I had to leave my bag with my wallet, car keys and phone in the football club house.

I'll do this race again, but a definite word to the wise race organisers - sort yourselves out!

In short: Oh I do like to be beside the seaside....
In full: Just needs the start sorted out for it to become a brilliant race. They have different areas for different times but it isn't enforced at all :o( Chip timing would be great too!
