In short: It's hot in them thar hills!
In full: First time running this and I thought the South Downs were hilly ! The sandy climbs really sapped the legs but great views and a good, friendly atmosphere helped. Good race - I'll be back next year to try and improve.

In short: the hills are alive.....
In full: Positives-good organisation at the car park, great race route (v hilly), marshals very encouraging. Negatives- a bit chaotic at the start and finish (needed more than the one water bucket please), runners walking up the hills blocking the paths giving you no choice but to walk.

In short: Tough but enjoyable morning out
In full: A big thank you to the organisers and many marshalls for making this a good fun race. This was my second time and although I didn't match my previous time, I probably enjoyed the run more. I'll be watching out for this one again next year.

In short: The hills are still steep and sandy!
In full: 18 seconds slower than 2 years ago, I must be geating older.. With lots of climbing this was never going to be a fast course, but the challenge is what keeps me coming back. Love this part of the Surrey Hills, the views make it all worthwhile.

In short: Hilly!
In full: For those in the know , then no suprises, massive hills, sandy tracks and a lovely atmosphere, exactly what you would expect from these organisers. However I have been out of the loop for a while ( babies etc) and my one niggle on returning would be that some parts of course were very 'thin' and so over taking someone being pulled along husky style by 2 dogs took quite an effort! Could they start earlier or later? I passed 3 with runners attached to dogs and i am not particlarly quick....but still, a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning.....

In short: Great hills, too many "dog-runners"
In full: Love this race, great scenery & great hills, you can't relax for a moment. Since I last did this run, there now seems to be people getting pulled along by dogs?? At least 3 times did I have to slow dow/alter course or get bashed into by a dog attached to a runner. If these people are to continue running these races, I think they should start at the back after the people running.
