In short: Great fun In full: I ran this race many years ago and was delighted to see it back. It's a great course and, since it's about the only 1/4 marathon around, by definition a PB course. Lovely people, lovely village, good cause and definitely one to come back for. Date of review: September 19, 2010

In short: Pleasant course for this unusual distance In full: This was a very friendly, non-clubby run with about 150 entrants. The weather ended up hot and sunny, compared to the wet and cold that was forecast, and I soon wished the forecasts were right! It was very hot running across the open fields, and the one water station wasn't until 8km around the 10.5k route. The course was well mashalled throughout, and a fair bit of support along the way. The few club runners that did race didn't seem to want to remain at the race hq for an hour plus after finishing in order to collect a certificate - the momento for completing the £7 race (with no discount for affiliated runners).
