In short: Hills are my friends..... In full: Firstly I would like to congratulate LBAC for putting on and marshalling such a great race, normally when crossing a main road the marshals will indicate to you when to cross. LBAC go one better, they formed a human chain across the road allowing me to run across in complete safety and receiving great words of encouragement.
Challenging course but great fun, see you next year........... Date of review: September 20, 2010

In short: Tough but 'runable' In full: I'm biased, as i'm a member of LBAC, but pleased to read the reviews. Funnily enough the flatter bits at 7-9 seemed the toughest - the hills soften you up! Date of review: September 20, 2010

In short: The title tells it!! In full: Tough course, but this shouldn't be a surprise. Plenty of hills on quiet country roads.
The organisation from start to finish was spot on. The marshalling on course was lively, and road-crossing were extremely well organised. Good goody bag, plenty of drinks.
Good value, great course, I'll be back. Date of review: September 20, 2010

In short: Loved it! In full: The race lived up to its name and certainly was a challenge but the hills were made all the more manageable by the amazing marshalls - every single one friendly and encouraging. A brilliant run and will definitely be back next year - especially as its a few minutes walk from my front door! Thanks LBAC! Date of review: September 19, 2010

In short: Slick organisation and a tough but fair course In full: I really enjoyed this race, I wouldn't usually undertake an event with Tough in the name, but thought I'd give it a go. It was hilly but enough downs to recover on. I had a short walk on Shenley Hill. Marsahlls were brilliant - very supportive and the two road crossings were maginificantly handled. Both water stations well manned by yound people who shouted encouragement. Well done LBAC! Date of review: September 19, 2010

In short: Excellent marshalling - excellent course - aching now In full: I really enjoyed this race and will definitely do again next year. The course was hard and the hills were coming thick and fast (well not so fast in my case), but it was a lovely route. Marshalling was great (probably best I've seen for a road race, really looked after the runners). Well done to organisers, really not sure how you could improve (not often I say that either).
