In short: A great value and extremely well organised race.
In full: I can only reiterate what the previous reviewers have written. Brilliant organisation, superb support from the all the marshals and volunteers at the the drinks stations.I would have preferred a technical tee-shirt rather than the very bright green hoodie. My only disappointment is that there were still a number of runners listening to music and even more who selfishly discarded empty gel packets and water bottles along the route rather than the designated areas. These idiots are a disgrace to running for their unnecessary behaviour which inadvertently reflects on the race organisers.

In short: Slickly organised race, a goot test and great value for money
In full: No praise is high enough for the team who staged this in appaling weather. Many thanks to everyone involved, hopefully next year it will be drier!

In short: A calassic race
In full: My first outing at the Ashby 20 and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The course was fine, not as scenic as others have reviewed and the undulations were not a problem.
Organization was second to none. My only slight gripe is the finish area. Way too muddy. Also the hoodie is not all it's cracked up to be. I'll never wear it so would of preferred a technical t-shirt.
I'll be back next year.

In short: Excellent race, full marks to organisers
In full: Great race. Quite undulating but interesting. Extremely well organised and good value. Thanks to marshals for standing out in the sleet and snow.

In short: Really good.
In full: Top race. If you're doing a Spring marathon, or even if you're not, Ashby needs to be in the diary. Great praise again to the marshalls who stood out in the rain, sleet and snow and provided such enthusiastic encouragement.

In short: ++A sleety return to this excellent race!++
In full: My third outing at Ashby and like most I suspect a prelude to a Spring marathon. That aside this is just a great race that I particularly enjoy. Cold at the start but dry..for a bit. Not much of a bit granted! The sleet did put a bit of a damper on it but personally I had a great run that I was delighted to PB the course with.
VERY special thanks to the Marshalls. As wet as it was for us runners, I'm sure it seemed a whole lot wetter for the generous, encouraging marshalls at the plenty water stations. Brilliantly supported by Aldi with great goody bags, water in bottles (mostly) and gels. Not forgetting the ubiquitous Cheese roll at the end and awesome hoody.
Great race, loved it!

In short: A running event that leaves you with a smile
In full: Really enjoyed this event from start to finish. The route was good, 2 laps worked well and you know what's coming the second time round. Lots of support and food/water stations and nice to get so much food at the end in the bag! Hoodie is nice but personally can't help prefer a medal!
The only thing I could think to change would be to close the hall door so the poor shivering runners, wet from the sleet could try and warm up a little at the end :-) Thank you Ivanhoe.

In short: Superb race and excellently organised
In full: Ivanhoe runners should be super proud of themselves, what a fantastic race. Brilliantly organised, the best water stations of any race I've ever done, with water, gels, jelly babies, chocolate and great support all the way round. You can really tell this is a race run by runners, for runners. It deserves every praise. Even the snow and gruelling mud at the end didn't spoil a great run.
