In short: Great comeback race following injury! In full: Ran this is 2013 as part of London Marathon training, then made a return for 2014 following injury. A slower-than-hoped time, but my longest run (by some margin) since the London Marathon! Great atmosphere, very encouraging marshals and supporters along the route, braving cold winds and biting rain and remaining cheerful throughout! Special thanks to the third placed runner who cheered me on, despite being on his return leg, about 3 miles ahead of me! Date of review: December 15, 2014
In short: Well organised, great value! In full: My 2nd 10-mile event and a very enjoyable one, despite the wind and rain (although not as bad as the forecast predicted). Thanet Roadrunners do a great job of organising this event, from registration to the finish line. Nice medal and T-Shirt as you cross the finish line. Not a bad route, following the promenades to Margate. I smashed my PB (novice level) which I was delighted with, even with the grassy uphill finish. I definitely intend to turn out for the 2015 race. One of my favourites so far, akthough I've only run a couple of events! Date of review: December 8, 2014
In short: Superbly organised, great value out and back coastal promenade race In full: Thanet road runners certainly know how to put on a race.
Encouraging, friendly marshals who put up with the wind, cold and rain with good cheer. A special thank you to the gentleman who took my jacket at the 4 mile mark and returned it to me at the finish line.
Chip timing, bottled water, a quality medal, technical event t-shirt and goody bag. Highly recommended. Date of review: December 8, 2014
In short: One day all clubs will be this well organised In full: makes you feel good in the build up to Christmas, well marshaled by all the usual suspects! very very friendly atmosphere and support from course marshals and a technical shirt and medal worth more than the low entry cost! and they still manage to support local charity (this year its our local hospice)well done everyone, runners and marshals and sponsors. In short: Great atmosphere and beat target time In full: The sun shining and so many cheerful marshals made this a great run along the coast and back. A definite for next year. A meticulously organised race with good changing and shelter before and after the race. A very reasonably priced race but if just one thing could be improved I would pay another pound for a bigger doggie bag. Great organisation. Well done Thanet Date of review: December 1, 2013
