In short: Beautiful day, lovely support, bit of a hill In full: Lovely day out, with great support along the way. Thanks to the marshalls, scouts etc for giving up there time to make it so much nicer for us and even managed to get back home in time to get to the pub for the rugby which capped off a great day. Only downsides were the conjestion at start/finish and didn't see the goody bags at the end Date of review: March 17, 2009
In short: A great occasion. First time here, nearly conquered Queensway, will be back next year to beat it. In full: The scale of the event and good organisation made it a great day. Recommended. I agree with the comments that it would be good to have spectatators out the way at the finish.
In short: Congested at the Start - Finish. But excellent weather and a perfect race In full: The start was crazy owing to the amount of runners waiting to get off??! This is due to last minute nerves and toiletry needs? Also a lot of the fun runners stood in the wrong places. As marked along the side of the start with predicted run time? Unfortunately had to barge past many slower joggers? The hill did go on a bit??!! After 5miles commented when if ever we would start to descend? That came at 7 miles. With the terrific (Loud) support from the crowds of spectators along the route you couldn't help but smile... Great day Date of review: March 17, 2009
In short: Good Event - excellent crowds but a congested start/finish area. In full: Fantastic crowd around the event, really enthusiastic. Well marshalled, except at one drinks station and at the start/finish area. Too many non-runners getting in the way at the start and finish, made getting to the kit tent and getting a drink very difficult. They really need to sort those areas out. Overall, a really good experience that I will be repeating.
In short: Great crowd support throughout the race, tough going up the hills up to 7 miles then alot of downhills, a lovely hourse brass medal at the end. Really enjoyed the day. ll Date of review: March 17, 2009
