In short: Great Race
In full: Amazing race, total one off material.Only thing lacking was a medal at the end, a t-shirt and beef jerky just don`t cut it I`m afraid.

In short: Funniest near death experience I've had so far!
In full: My first Hellrunner and I'm glad I didn't really know what was coming my way till it was too late! Really great fun, lots of hills and bogs and my kids wouldn't come anywhere near me afterwards cause of the smell!! Fantastic race and just what a bored road runner needed!!

In short: Excellent...but painful
In full: Didnt know what to expect, and it was worse than could have thought! Painful and far harder than half-marathons and further races. Will be doing it next year.

In short: Fantastic event.
In full: In a moment of madness I entered the Hellrunner. Have not regretted it!. What a fantastic event.A true challenge compared to the usual half marathon.I threw my socks and trainers straight in the bin.A long soak in the bath is very much needed after this event!

In short: harder than tough guy because you keep going for over 2 hours [us slow ones did anyway!]
In full: Very well planned for amximum pain and torture! right down to the biggest bog and last hill in the last 1/2 mile! I don't know what is in that mud bud I had to use a pan scourer to get it off and i am still finding patches 48 hours later. I'm certainly glad i didn't swallow any of it because it wouldn't be good for your digestive system. Of course, I had to embarass myself by falling over in a rabbit hole after I had finished and picked up my goody bag but at least I provided amsuement to lots of tired and hurting runners!

In short: Fun, fun, fun
In full: I signed up for this quite quickly after enjoying last autumn's event so much. Thought it was quite evil of them to switch the starting loop before entering the forest but I suppose that's what Hellrunner is all about. Despite their best, or most evil efforts, the only claim (hillier, muddier etc etc) they didn't or couldn't succeed with was that the previous event was more muddy - and that was simply due to the incredibly glorious weather we're enjoying recently.

In addition to the amazing goody bag, I also got a free hat since some guy asked me before the start if I'd mind wearing one of Salomon's hat instead of my own for the race - which was nice.

The only drawback for me was that I twisted my ankle when I was coming down from the very last hill next to the finish area.

I'm still finding mud on me...

In short: Keeps getting better...
In full: Third year running for me 'Hellrunning' and the events just keep getting better. Really glad to see the course was changed, longer and harder - especially in the fantastic weather - never ended up with devilish red sunburn at a Hellrunner before! a big thankyou to all the Marshalls and other runners for making the day a good 'un. Got my best race placing ever too so I'm still really chuffed!

In short: Muddy; Messy; Wet; Exhausting; Challenging...best race of the year!
In full: This was the first time I entered the race and didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere was great and I will certainly do it again next year. The start wasn't to bad however it was only the first (of many) hills! Down the hill and through the woods...next to the mud. You could smell the mud pits even before you entered and it took a strong will to jump in! Overall very enjoyable. Similar to other reviews....several showers/baths later..I am finally clean.
