In short: Tiring run - the early start (clocks forward an hour) seriously upset my bodyclock ! In full: Nice enough run, very friendly and well organised. Course undulates a bit and although I entered the 21 pulled out at 15 as I was just too tired to complete the full distance. A nice touch though because there appears to be capacity to 'switch' events depending on how things are going. Still got a finishers medal etc and a 'decent' 15 miles training run. In short: Friendly and challenging marathon training run In full: This is a very well organised and very friendly run. As everyone else has said the marshalls are great as are the 'water stop crews'-very, very encouraging which makes up for the quiet stretches of country road. I wanted to give up after half a mile as I felt like **** so special thanks to Mary from Worthing who convinced me to carry on for the full monty 21 miles-her support was typical of most of the other runners who had a 'we are all in it together' supportive outlook. Not sure I'll be back next year though-this marathon running lark is way too tough!

In short: Very friendly race In full: Very friendly since most people preapring for marathon - most chatting I have come across in a race! Scenic, flat course, just slight bump near end. Marshalls very supportive good water/squash stations. End a bit tight and rushed. Run-off space required. Date of review: March 26, 2007

In short: Friendly and relaxed atmosphere In full: Lots of support and encouragement from passers-by, the marshalls and 'water station operatives' were very friendly and the route was scenic and mainly flat. Date of review: March 26, 2007

In short: The best value race ever In full: Excellent, low-key organisation. Positively uplifting absence of corporate sponsorship! Q. how does a non-sponsored event offer such excellent value, compared with the mega-Corp races, costing 5x as much? Date of review: March 26, 2007

In short: Not much in the way of spectator support but plenty of support from the racers In full: Not my best race in terms of time or motivation but nothing to do with the organisation, scenery or anything other than a slightly tired me! Great day out - will be back ..... Date of review: March 26, 2007

In short: Lovely West Surrey Countryside Race In full: Well worth getting up early for (especially with the clock change : the start time was effectively 8am!). Quiet setting, virtually no traffic, marshalls really lovely and water stations well managed. I had a terrible race (it was one of those days) but will definitely go back next year! Thank you to all. In short: The Ideal Pre-London event In full: If only all races were like this, low key, value for money, friendly and well organised.
Minor quibble is that it is advertised as Flat which it is not. It is Gently undulating with a nasty little hill near the end, particurly hard if doing the 21 mile event, therefore you have to run up it twice.
