In short: The In full: What a day! Totally fantastic!
I couldn't say that I liked being squirted with water by the kids, but other than that, the supporters were fantastic! People with sweets, oranges, water, biscuits and the guy with the hose! Plus all the cheering and music!
It was disheartening to see so many people being tended to by the Saint John's Ambulance Being a black lace fan I enjoyed all the Oggy Oggy Oggies, well I did up to the fifth time.
Loads of friendly people, a nice T Shirt, A good medal and sweets, a pretty good haul in the goodie bag...
The event was well organised, although it took me almost half an hour to cross the start line.
I also have to say that I covered way more than 13 miles zig zagging between all the bloody walkers, I know there's a lot of people who are doing it for a good cause, but for heavens sake people! Train for a 13 mile run, not stroll! It'd be good for you! And akin to that point, what were all those people doing in front of me anyway? I was in the 10 minute mile space, shouldn't they have lined up behind me? I was going past scooby doos and elvises left and right! Date of review: September 18, 2005
