In short: What a great day, just fantastic!
In full: The organisers deserve all the great praise already mentioned by others. The glorious weather (yeah really!!),stupendous scenery and a wonderful course made this my best event of the year by far.

I cannot recommend this race highly enough whether it'd be your first or if you were a season marafunner.

In short: Even the sun came out for us.
In full: Everything was was spot on and straight forward from registration to the post race food. The actual run was perfect, good weather, great course, scenery and some of the most friendly and helpful marshalls I've ever encountered.
One little gripe, where are all the greasy spoons in Inverness?

In short: They didn't tell me about the hill at 21 miles
In full: Everyone talks about the hill at 17 miles but that was fine. The surprise at 21 miles (though shorter) nearly killed me.
Glorious scenery for my first marathon

In short: Good scenery & organisation
In full: Glorious scenery, challenging route and value goodie bag. An excellent day out. My only complaint was the toilets at the start made it a bit of a rush.

In short: Challenging! Will be back again.
In full: My fourth time of running this event and I can never tire of it. The scenery, warm welcome and all around experience makes it a must for any one wishing to tackle a challenging course.

In short: Fabulous race - beautiful scenery - now if they could just flatten a couple of the hills...
In full: Very friendly race in a beautiful setting, perfect weather and the best goody bag I've had this year. I had a smile on my face almost all the way, even going up the hills.
Is this one of my all-time favourites? It is now.

In short: How could you not love it?
In full: My first marathon and I think I might have been spoilt forever!

Beautiful setting and course with views to take your breath away and ease the pain round every corner. Enough hills to take your breath away too.

Organisation was flawless and the enthusiasm of those at the drink stations, especially the kids, was a joy. The area embraces this event and you get the feeling that they really want everyone to go home with good memories .... and tell everyone else what a fantastic place this is.

The stadium finish makes you feel like a 'real runner' no matter how far down the field you finish and the goody bag actually lived up to its name.

All this AND cheap beer in the pub later ... does running get any better ;-)
