In short: Very pretty - not great for beginners
In full: The scenery was wonderful but the weather made an already tough race very difficult. Thank you to all of the marshalls who braved horrid conditions. The lack of a backmarker was a shame, particularly as a few of the turns on the course were unmanned by the time I reached them - I went the wrong way a couple of times!

In short: Even better than last year!!
In full: I couldn't believe the weather - I thought last year was a baptism of wind and rain, but it was worse this time around! From sheltering in an emergency blanket prior to the start, to the jellybeans swimming their disolved colourings, this was a race to remember. A huge thank you to the fantastic marshals and volunteers who directed, watered, fed and encouraged us all the way round - not the weather for standing out in the strong wind and rain getting cold and handing out much-needed refreshments! Well done to the organisers for reassuring us all that the weather was not extreme, and that it was perfectly safe to run.
My only gripe was that jellybeans are not nearly as nice as Mars Bars, especially when wet!! Back to Mars Bars next year please! Shame some runners didn't have enough near the back of the race. I'll definitely be back next year - one time I'll see the mountain I'm running round!!!

In short: fantastic race, so hard but you get such a buzz on the downhills and everyone is so friendly.t
In full: beautiful countryside although due to bad weather it was difficult to see. I will definately be back next year, hoping for a better time!

In short: fantastic, do it!
In full: A week ago I was reading these reviews looking for inspiration as this was my first ever marathon. if you are in the same position...it is brilliant. makes you sore, makes you swear but worth every mile! I can't imagine running a city marathon now after this, I've been spoilt. massive thank you to all the marshalls, we were running at the back of the crowd and 5 hours on they still were cheery! well done to everyone who completed it, something to look back on with pride!

In short: speechless. Which, for me, is unusual.
In full: What a stunner. Weather appalling, scenery incredible, camaraderie astonishing.
The best marshalls, drinks station volunteers and spectators ever, they made the event for me. I had a shocker of a race, but I think (maybe) I will be back to try it again ... not sure just yet!
Don't do this under-trained, don't underestimate it - but do it!
Only slight gripe - for us slower ones at the back, no mars bars or jelly babies or anything at the feed stations.
I could have married the wonderful man at Waunfawr handing out boiled sweets though!

In short: the best road running experience you can have with your clothes on. ups and downs through beautiful scenery and trecherous weather and a great mile off road at the end to top it all.

In short: It was amazing!
In full: Big thank you to the marshalls, it was awful conditons to run in but must have been horrendous for the marshalls having to stand for hours in it.
First time and I will be back!
