In short: Well organised, friendly and great value. Great race for all standards.
In full: Very slick and well organised race. Well done to all involved. In common with many others the only down point was the start, an overhead banner would let runners know where and when they crossed the line and would perhaps let some of the slower runners realise that they were too near the 'sharp end' at the start.

In short: Sack the GNR and do this instead!
In full: Having completed my first half marathon 2 weeks ago, (Great North Run) I have to say that this race was 10 times better - good atmosphere but not too stressful or crowded, good facilities, lovely route apart from main road bit, excellent water stations etc etc.
My only gripe is that there was not any info about baggage areas, changing facilities, water stations etc beforehand and so did not know what to bring along to the venue itself - ended up leaving my warm up t-shirt and drink bottle near the start but found it again at he end - us Cumbrians are so trustworthy! Sack the GNR and do this instead!
