In short: Very Good New Race
In full: Good Things
Lots of water
Quite a decent crowd for a first time event
Excellent T shirt (nice design and not white), medal and goody bag
good marshelling and encouragement
Nice large field
Toilet facilities with well organised ques and were plentiful
Chipped Race

Bad Things
Lack of mile markers
Too hilly - to grow the event in future years you probably need a flatter course with more PB potential
Too narrow a start line and first 100 metres. This lead to a slow start even after crossing the line
Delayed start and woman warbling on - no need
Local people were not fully warned of road closures, if they know in advance , they will deal with it, but it will wind people up if they only find out about it when they get to closed roads

In short: Great debut for this one
In full: Well done organisers. A big first day - done well. Messed up Coventry traffic but at least it gave us something to watch. More mile markers please. Really enjoyed it.

In short: Well organised half - marathon for local runners. Hills were tough. Final mile run-in leg draining. Well done all involved.
In full: Being a Coventrian this run was an ideal chance to try out my second half-marathon. Last year did the GNR time 1:31. so was out to improve my PB - so I thought. First gripe, why do people stand near the start when they have no intention of running a 'good time' these peeps just get in the way. The ring road lap at the start was good for warming up the legs. Note lack of mile markers. Climbing out the City Centre to turn-a-round point (8 miles) tough one, but return to City Centre downhill made up for this slog. But the ring road 1 mile run in was very draining on the legs. Overall good first effort. Lots of water if needed. Friendly co runners. Need more locals to turn out to cheer on runners but that will come with future events. My time 1:33 I feel this was harder than GNR. Well done Cov.

In short: A Great half for beginners I would say !
In full: Out of the three half marathons(the others being the potts and leek) this was by far the easiest I have done the only gripe I have is about the park and ride fiasco which left quite a few stressed people as we had to get back in our cars and head for the city center this left me a limited time to warm up correctly ! The rest of the day however was great ! And if this is their first attempt then roll on next year as its sure to be a good one !!!

In short: Perhaps it's just me.......
In full: I've skimmed through the other reviews and it seems that no-one noticed the lack of buses to get childrens fun run entrants to the start of the race in time. Or that the start time of the half-marathon was delayed and held up (in my case I think that this contributed to injury).

I don't turn up at races to hear all those who have sponsored the event mentioned, (that's what the t-shirts for) judging by the noises around me neither does anyone-else. I also know how good exercise is for me that's why I do it!!!

I for one won't be back.

In short: Brillient Organisation, friendly people, lots of support
In full: Wow, what a debut for a Half Marathon, very well orgainised from the park and ride to many water stops, to the t-shirt at the end, also thanks for making the t-shirt black, got loads of white ones! The support was fantastic, the course was bit hilly in places, but they were in the first 8 miles, so you had the downhill in the last 5, which was good. Only thing missing was mile markers, also I was only a minute of my pb 1.32, so pretty happy, will be back next year!
