In short: Beautiful, well organised, glorious run In full: Nice pretty flat course, great marshalling, mileage signs easy to see, water stops at just the right points. The race ran smoothly, going past some of London's most famous landmarks. The route made the most of the downhills and the uphills were generally gentle rather than steep.
Only criticism was that there were not enough toilets at the start - although there were loads, hundreds of us were queuing only minutes before the start.
I really enjoyed this race and finished it with a huge grin on my face.
Congratulations to the race organisers - they had clearly put the hard work in, and it showed.
I'll definitely be back next year! Date of review: October 12, 2008

In short: Well organised, great race that deserves to become a fixture! In full: I'm not a very experience runner - only 10 or so 10k or HMs, but this was probably the best I've done.
I thought it was well organised, lots of space at the beginning even if like me you're at the back with lots of walkers. Lots of water stops and powerade (even if you were a back marker like me), well signed, lovely scenery and although no goody bag the festival seemed to have so much free stuff I could hardly walk ten paces without getting a bottle or a snack or something. Oh, and the race shirt was really good. It was an expensive race, but I don't mind that when you get a good event.
Any complaints? Well, I didn't lke the medal much, but my gf loved it, and whoever put "it's all downhill from here" on the sign at mile ten has a cruel sense of humour!
London needs a really good HM. This might well be it. Date of review: October 12, 2008
