In short: Organisation at the start needs to be looked into. To many people jumping into the wrong pens. This should really be a chipped race as well.

In short: well worth the effort but made harder by the walkers. fully enjoyed it and raised plenty of money at the same time
In full: The pace markers at the start denoting your expected finish time were a waste of time, people of all shapes and sizes and abilities made their way to the front prior to the start. other than being held up in places, a good run.

In short: If you want to run a race for racing sake then it's not the race for you. However, if you want to experience what running is all about the definitely do it... again and again

In short: dear to enter, but its still good
In full: although its never made for PB's, and its a nightmare at times, this is still one of those runs you have to do at least once...and the atmosphere is great, although some haven't enjoyed it as much as others...

In short: too many slow runners too near the front
In full: I was fighting my way past people from start to finish and it took some 7 minutes to even get across the line. Very frustrating.

In short: I could have run back to Newcastle quicker, if I could still run at the end of the race!
In full: I would echo the comments of others, too many walkers and slow runners made progress hard (and I was only aiming for 2:30!) The Manchester 10K had a three wave start and this would seem to be the way forward. I would also suggest that the race was run the other way about as Newcastle is better able to disperse the large number of people seeking to get home. Having said that I think you have to do this at least once and you never know I might be back next year with a revised game plan.

In short: It's no good treating it as a race it's just a good day out. have a laugh & save your PB for somewhere else.
