In short: Fantastic Race, A Definate For Next Year In full: A really well organised race a great challenging course. One of the best ive done this year. Will be at the start next year. Date of review: September 26, 2005
In short: Made me proud of the City! In full: What a debut! Such a great event with a great turnout from runners and supporters alike and Marlon Devonish as starter as wel. The loop back throught the start/finish area after a couple of miles was really uplifting, but where were those mile markers? I didn't see one until 6 - apparently there were markings on the road, but isn't that to tell the man where to put the signs? All in all a great start to what must become a regular date on the running calendar Date of review: September 26, 2005
In short: Fantastic Organisation ... Excellent Course In full: Although slightly critical of the course when it was first published ... I take it all back. It was brilliant with some very challenging sections. Did the GNR last Sunday and the Godiva topped it on all counts. Cannot fault it for anything .. apart from the missing mile markers (although there were markers painted on the road).
This has the potential to become the "Must Do" Half Marathon in the Midlands.
The organisers did a fantastic job and deserve all the praise they are getting.
In short: Great Race ! In full: Oh my god, where did those hills come from. Great race and very well organised. Could done with a few more mile markers. Enough water stations a great suuport. See you next year Date of review: September 26, 2005
In short: Excellent overall - can't wait till next year In full: My first half marathon, in my home town (tho don't live there now)so wanted to support it and I wasn't diasappointed. Organisation was excellent with plenty of water stations. Only critisism would be lack of mile markers until mile 5 and friends/family moaned about lack of signs at beginning of road closures. I hope this becomes a regular race - it makes me proud to be a Cov-ite! Date of review: September 25, 2005
In short: Gorilla Friendly! In full: Well done Helen et al for putting on such a good race in the first running of the Lady Godiva Cov Half. Excellent support on the course, tough route. Highlight has to be a cheeky monkey kiss from Pru 'Lady Godiva' herself as I crossed the finish line. See you next year, Andy Date of review: September 25, 2005
In short: Found new hills in my hometown In full: Excellent organisation. Plenty of water. Proud of the locals' support (thanks to the hose man!). Not too much to shout about in Coventry but this event can only help. Date of review: September 25, 2005
