In short: Rather hillier than it claims to be but friendly, well-organised and beautiful. In full: The good bits: best scenery ever, excellent marshalling and organisation; the racecouse is a stunning venue. The bad bits: the car parking queue was frustrating on arrival and dire at the end of the race. Date of review: October 8, 2014
In short: Superb friendly and well organized loved it In full: This marathon is highly recomended. The organization and friendliness of everyone makes it a fantastic experience to be part of. The crowds although not as large as a big city marathon were lively and full of encouragement. I cannot recomend this race highly enough Date of review: October 8, 2014
In short: Spectacularly Great Race! In full: Race was very well organised. Spacious race village with lots of facilities. Huge support from the friendly marshals. Great entertainment in the villages. Fantastic course which is challenging enough to be interesting but still achievable by less experienced runners. The varied scenery was amongst the best I've seen at a race. Top quality T-shirt, a beautiful 2-sided medal and a great goody bag at the finish. 5 star race! Date of review: October 8, 2014
In short: Perfect organisation yet again In full: This event really can not be faulted. From the moment you sign up, you get regular information and even invited to training runs. On the day there is a kids fun run within the safe area of the race course. The day runs like clockwork. Roads are closed, so traffic free. Lots of toilets, lots of drinks, even plenty of gels. Great medal and t-shirt. Support from everyone on the day was fantastic. I will certainly be back again next year. Date of review: October 7, 2014
