In short: Off road mix of hills, mud and views, with very friendly runners and marshalls throughout.
In full: Rough n Tumble, really enjoyed this race, lots of very friendly runners and marshalls. I 'tumbled' once on a very slidy cow pat!, lots of mud throughout which was particularly 'claggy' and clung on tight to my off-road shoes making things hard going. Had great views from the hill tops and some pretty mean ups and downs en-route, I had a grin on my face throughout as it was VERY different to anything I've ever done before.

In short: Mud, sweat, and some very, very steep hills
In full: Not a great cross country runner but really enjoyed this event. Very hard to battle through so much mud and was on all fours going up one of those hills but the atmosphere was so good and the marshalls were so friendly I will definitely be back for more next year - but with some decent off-road shoes!!

In short: Fantastic!
In full: My first off-road race and I loved every minute of it - truly! Great organisation, smiling marshals at every turn and amazing scenary. I particularly liked the way the mountains (they were not hills) destroyed all the beefy, fit blokes - hee, hee. Thank you to everyone, but next year can we have a few more toilets - I nearly missed the start!
