In short: Definitely worth a visit to Coventry
In full: The hills were tough, the scenery good, and the organisation was fantastic. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

In short: Only it's first year, but a superb race...
In full: ...soon to become a *must-do* on the running calendar, I hope. A *massive* thank-you to Helen Kelly and the rest of the organisers for a superb race. Absolutely faultless, in my opinion. Excellent marshalls too, full of encouragement the whole way round. As were the people of Coventry - especially at the finish. A superb day for the city, I think - there was something for everyone, from the kids to the fun runners, to the serious racers. The course is pretty challenging, I thought. Definitely hillier and tougher than both the Windsor and the Watford halves, in my opinion. But the hills kept it interesting :-) and for me the roads were always wide enough to be able to run freely. Not to mention a medal *and* a t-shirt (not of the one-size dwarfs everyone variety) at the finish. Highly recommended!

In short: Nice run. Challenging long uphill drags on the way out. Good organisation.
In full: Park & Ride well organised at the start but could have done with some better signs in the Bus station at the end. Start was delayed by 10 mins but gave me a chance to get friendly with those around. Narrow start made even more difficult by groups of walkers 3 & 4 abreast but cleared after the 1st mile. Interesting option to run round the ring road, but good encouragement by drivers on the other side. a long uphill drag to the turnround point at 8 miles rewarded with 3 miles downhill. Nice quality tee shirt & medal. Well done Cov, see you next year.

In short: Good atmosphere & organisation made up for the ring road!
In full: Well done to everyone who organised the half-marathon. A good race, well organised, quite slick. Bit hot though! If I had one niggle it would be taking your lace off as you pass the finish to take your chip off. Velcro, or plastic tags would be great. Lots of people took the chips home.

In short: Well organised a good way to spend a sunday morning.
In full: Park & Ride was really good. Loads of water, plenty toilets. 1hr 52 for me which is average. Wouldn't say it's an easy course, but it's not too hilly. Like the t-shirt and it seems decent quality.

Only criticism lack of mile markers. I saw a 5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 13.

Oh and I hate malt loaf, can we have some crisps next year pls!

In short: Had a few hills! great atmosphere though. probably be back next year.
In full: great day fro runners, have to say though, my family cheered me on at the turnaround point and then I beat them back to the finish (@ 11 min/miles) the buses apparently were too small and few and far between. Other than that WELL DONE HELEN KELLY AND TEAM!

In short: The perfect balance of good organisation and a challenging course
In full: I timed it at 1:57 and had been hoping for 1:55 but I don't think that was on the cards as the course is too challenging.

There was exactly the right amount of water stations for me and there didn't appear to be any shortages anywhere.

I will carry energy gels next time though it would be great if the organisers could make isotonic drinks available.

In short: first half marathon for me, and a great way to start!
In full: So as I sit here with aching legs having completed my first half marathon, I have to say it was good fun! Organisation was great, support along the way was fantastic, route was good - enjoyed the run round the ring road :o) the support from the cars going round on the other side was definately a bonus! Some long hills though, but definately an interesting route, and some good entertainment put on for the crowd too. Very friendly set of runners, especially as it was me first race- and has definately encouraged me to go and do a few more!
Congrats to the organising team, and here's looking forward to next year :o)

In short: Very well organised, malt loaf and bananas afterwards, perfect.
In full: Very hot, long sapping climbs in places. Excellent organization with loads of water. Good crowds along the route. Better t shirt than most. For a first time event difficult to fault. Late start only complaint I can come up with.
