In short: First ever 10K. I hope that the weather improves for my second. Ah! committed to a second race now! Proudly wearing my finishers T-shirt. Best of all, being my very first 10K I achieved my PB.

In short: Hmmmm
In full: I'd rather have no K markers than inaccurate ones.According to the markers I went through 1 K in 5:37 and 2 K in 9:31.Clearly something is wrong. Many people try to run even pace, and use the K markers to stay on target. It's no joke when they are so far out.Secondly there was insufficient water at the finish. When I finished there was a queue of 30 people, and the water station had run out of plastic cups. There was a similar problem with the water last year. Not good.

In short: Potential pb course
In full: The first 7 kms were lovely - but the last 3 were disappointing. Well organised with good marshalling. The weather was lousy but they couldnt do anything about that, or could they ?

In short: Very well organised race. First 6km run on roads and quite flat. Last 4km run on residential pavements which are not in good repair, so watch your feet. I especially like this event as there is a photograph on the internet of every competitor.

In short: Excellent race...will definitely do it again
In full: Excellent organization: changing rooms, bag storage, toilets, cheerful marshalls, refreshments, midrace water supply (even if a bit difficoult to use), free t-shirt for all finishers, free chocolates at the end ;o)
Despite the rain and cold weather it was really an excellent event. To be done...and repeated!

In short: Good for first timers, good for PB's Good race
In full: Only my second 10k (I'm a newbie) and definitely one to do again. Good atmosphere, excellent marshalls, they all have a positive thing to say as you go past.

Friendlier runners than lots of other runs I've done so far.

A MASSIVE thanks to Simon (one of the organisers) & Elliott (his wee boy) for the lift to the petrol station as I ran out of fuel in the car park at the end!! Forever grateful. Thank you gentlemen. xxx
