In short: My first 10-miler - fantastic day, well organised & highly recommended. In full: Hilly but really not too bad! First time round felt like a doddle but the great mile long hill reared its ugly head on the second lap! Lots of lovely long down hills to recover though. A brilliant day, superbly organised and highly recommended. Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: Oh well, there's other events out there..... In full: Top idea to put the late entries desk a kilometre away from the start. Some kind of warm up? Had to collect my reserved number from there, with one of our groups names missing from those on the list. And as for the course, 2 laps of dull lanes and housing estates? Come on Tadworth, you've got the whole of the Downs to play with. Surely you can find 10 miles without repeating yourself? And as for the towel!! What were you thinking? Medals or tees are de rigeur. Now come along Tadworth, sit up when I'm talking to you, and see me after class! Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: Hilly, scenic, well organised race In full: Great race and very enjoyable. Only fault was the tacky towel given as the reward at the end. I know many seasoned runners get sick of medals (not me) and T-shirts but a towel....please!!! Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: I know it was on the Epsom Downs but nobody mentioned the Enormous Ups, but good fun none the less. Thanks to nice man in dark blue bobble hat who kept overtaking me and made me all the more determined to beat him - which I did! Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: A genuine undulating, part road - part track, course. Seemed to be continiously on some form of incline but no real killers. Well marshalled and fairly traffic free. Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: Well I got a new PB (on this course at least). In full: 1.31.20 beating 1.37 last year. Suffered at the start due to a heavy night out the night before but ran it off by 5 miles and enjoyed the down hill charges.
In short: Challenging but doable for first timers if determined In full: Well organised, good scenery, nice mix of surfaces but the hill between mile 1-3 and 6-8 is pretty daunting. Will definitely be back next year. Date of review: January 9, 2006
