In short: 1900 Feet of Climbing and Some of the Vertical, Plus Exilerating Decents
In full: My second year and despite a bad cold just had to do it. No other race would have got me out of bed. This year brought trail shoes which are a distinct advantage. Lots of the route is thick in sticky mud. A reall hard one but what a race !

In short: Three killer hills, muddy and slippery under foot but the reward is the magnificent views and the fun atmosphere. Forget about race times and position and enjoy!

In short: Excellent!
In full: What a fab race! The hills were tough and there was plenty of mud but the marshalls were lovely and the cake at the end was very welcome!

In short: Another brilliant muddy challenge
In full: It just gets better - or worse depending how you look at it! Enjoyed it even more than last year, probably because I knew what to expect! Minor probs with baggage and car parking but overcome with good humour by all. Well marked course with lovely supportive marshalls. And the cakes - what can I say? See you next year.

In short: Should be renamed TOUGH and TUMBLE
In full: Great fun. Very hard and the mud acted like suction pads. Glad it didn't rain. Nice touch with the changing tents, complete with chairs - beats trying to balance on one leg to change! Would have been nice for everyone to get a finishing time (appears only the first 240 were clocked) and there was a bit of a panic when booking your bag in - the organisers got the idea around 10.55 with an 11.00 start - hand out the bag stickers to those in the queue rather than wait for them to get to the desk. However, other than that it was a really well run event - nice touch at the start to sing Happy Birthday. Marshalls were generous with their support all round the course. Cakes were lovely at the end especially the bread pudding!

In short: Cakes!
In full: As everyone has said fantastic cakes. Would have loved a claen t-shirt to put on at the end of the race!
Amazing how social everyone becomes when you are faced with giant hills that you need to crawl up!

In short: Excellent race again, very friendly, great course with lots of challenges and lots to keep you interested. Bit muddier than last year and seemed busier. More runnable and more fun than the Terminator -love the hills

In short: Cracking race, photos on website don't do the hills justice though
In full: Mud, mud glorious mud....I was a staunch road runner until recently but this, my third off-roader, has definitely converted me. Great fun, hard work but the stiles at the end were cruel !!

The cakes would have put the Womens Institute to shame, fabulous & the soup was welcome too.

Excellent race & friendly marshalls mean I'll be back next year.
