In short: Excellent 3 lap event with the usual like-clockwork organisation.
In full: The three lap format does make this race mentally tough. Although the hills are not major, the regularity of them presents a more difficult change than usual. Efficie nt organisation, supportive marshalling, and race full to limit. The relay runners spice things up, and its great if you can latch on to on in the final lap to pull you through (as I did). Lovely medal, t-shirt and goody-bag - so good value. Thanks to Stopsley Striders and Dunstable RAoad Runners - I'll be back in 2006!

In short: The relay part of the race was a great way to bridge the gap between 10km and half marathons.
In full: I took part in the relay part of this race. I found the event relaxed, friendly and easy going. The marshalls were encouraging and kind. As a way to bridge the gap between 10kms and half marathons this was excellent. It has given me the confidence to try a half marathon early next year. Although the scenery was not always great, the course was well marked.

In short: A surprisingly excellent race.
In full: The organisation was top notch including directions as soon as you left the M1. The marshalls were, without exception, lovely and friendly and encouraging. The medal was the best of all seven marathons I have run this year and the goodie bag and T shirt were both excellent - I don't know how they do it for the small entry fee.
Very interesting to run three laps with relay runners joining in fresh each lap.
Overall, a really good and worthwhile race.
