In short: Cracking event. Marshalls deserved a medal for standing for 4 hours in such cold conditions In full: 20 mile races are perfect for marathon training. If well organised it means you can switch off and concentrate on running. This race was just the job. Thanks to RRR.
The memento caused controversy. I liked the pen but runners are a staid old lot that like t shirts and medals. Please don't put the price up to accommodate this. Its just fine.
But why were there so many worms on the roads? Very odd. Date of review: February 21, 2005
In short: The 20miler is a definate recommendation! In full: Very well organised and big praise has to go out to all the marshalls (very smiley and supportive) on such a bitterly cold day. Only small disappointment was the momento. Date of review: February 21, 2005
In short: My first 20 mile race so I was very anxious but completed the race in one piece. Thank you to all the marshalls and well done for the excellent organisation. Date of review: February 21, 2005
In short: Super organisation, have done it before and will do it again. In full: Well marshalled for such a long loop and they were all so cheery and supportive considering the bloomin' awful cold. First time I've ever had to use the first aid support (not that they could do anything much for 'stomach' cramps) and got an ambulance lift back to the start, was handed over to new first aid person who asked if I needed help. All very good. Thanks to Bramley Primary School once again for letting RRR use their premises for the weekend. Date of review: February 21, 2005
In short: Very well organised with a nice cake stall at the end In full: This was my first 10 mile (didn't try the 20) but found the whole event well organised and friendly which made it a pleasant outing. Well done. Date of review: February 21, 2005
In short: Great race, very well marshalled, Well done RRR In full: Did the 10m,Didn't mind the cold at all, but I suspect spectators did as it was lacking in them. But thanks to all those that did turn out. Very well run event. Sick a pound or 2 on the entry fee and lets have a medal rather than the pen. What about those worms then!
