In short: My worst experience of running in 2 years. In full: Sadly, the course was horrendous including: (a) a long stretch on a busy road dangerously close to moving vehicles,(b)a mixture of pavements, grass verges and narrow paths in housing estates, (c)hardly any local support or interest, (d)generally drab scenery (apart from the burnt out car).Due credit to most of the marshals especially the army cadets for their support.Regretfully, this was my worst experience of road races in 2 years. In short: a superbly organised event. A challenging marathon course but the 3 laps make it "attackable" in bite sized chunks. I really enjoyed it! Date of review: August 24, 2004
