In short: Not my best race but very well organised with one exception.
In full: Would have really enjoyed had it been drier and less windy. Well organised both pre-event and on the day. The fruit and chocolate were most welcome. Clearly the inclement conditions were not down to the organisers, however I was disappointed that more wasn't done to avoid Somme -like conditions in the car park. We knew last week that it would be chucking it down today so there was plenty of time to organise the laying of straw on the "roadways" in the carpark. Thankyou to all the kind samaritans who pushed my car out of the "trenches" (Twice!)

In short: Very well organised race!!
In full: Firstly the combinaton of Larking Gowen and CONAC has clearly bought this race on leaps and bounds in terms of organisation and participation. Excellent pre race organisation, website etc. Also excellent on site organisation. It was also good that you could pick up your number etc the day before. Big thank you to the marshalls/ drinks people in what was appalling weather. Good T-shirt and medal! In my view this is one of the best half marathons around- and no I don't work for Larking Gowen or CONAC!
If I had to have a slight niggle and this is only very slight the race numbers turned to mush in the rain, can I suggest they are made of different material!
One final point please can people not complain about the weather or the slightly delayed start. The weather is the hands of pressure systems not the organiser and the delayed statrt was due to an accident on the A47!

In short: Worth the Trip
In full: Enjoyed this event even with the weather although I dont mind the cold or the rain BUT the wind was strong in places BUT there's plenty of places shaded from the wind and the wind was back wind at times too, everything seemed to go like clockwork and the organization was good,I MAY have PB'd but will have to see official results and I only need to have made up 17seconds with the chip timing (thats the beauty of chip timing events)so I'll have my fingers crossed, well done Norwich you all done real good AND with a tweak here and there it can be even better, hope to do this again next year

In short: So long and thanks for all the fruit.
In full: I suppose the organisers cannot be blamed for the rubbish weather!
Ok goodie bag and lots of additional fruit (bananas and mixed fruit salad bags, yum)
The car park was mostly grass which took on a Glastonbury like quality as we all tried to leave. Thanks to the kind soul's who helped us out of the mud!

In short: Great first race, was well reassured by the lovely marshalls and back rider
In full: My first ever half and really ust wanted to survive in under 3hours. Lovely race dispite hideous weather. was last for the first couple of miles until the early pace caught up with people but the little man on the bike at the back was very reassuring and set me at easy. Felt no undue pressure. Go for it ext year, even if you are at the back you'll be well looked after. V much like the soothing countryside views too.

In short: Very good race
In full: Course was very good, not too taxing with gentle hills. Organisation was good and facilites were adequate enough with ample catering. Can't complain about the weather as it was far worse and variable running around Silverstone in March. On the negative side it has to be the first race I've ran where there was no water available afterwards unless of course I'm mistaken. Not convinced its value for money as for £2 more the Silverstone Half has the t-shirt included and they send out the chip and race number to you before race. I really didn't see why you'd want to make a special trip the day before to pick up your number and chip. An inside source tells me it wasn't that popular an option anyway. Not the first time I've encountered this, but somebody manning a water station was not paying enough attention although they fared worse in that. You'd think holding a cup out at arms length would be simple?! Having said that thanks go to the organisers and helpers and the marshalls for their support in miserable conditions. Overall, a very good race and would definitely do it again.
