In short: That good I accidently entered twice. In full: Dr Rob and his team of marshalls and helpers made this a fantastic day. From the arrival brew to the departing fry up. Perfect. Date of review: October 22, 2010
In short: Tough ascents and descents, fantastic scenery & organisation, well worth it In full: One of the toughest I've done in terms of terrain & although had no concerns when reading about the 1 hour 15 minute cut off for reaching 6.5 miles, it was closer than I would have liked due to being mainly uphill to there (or so it seemed). I enjoyed it, but don't feel I gave it my all - few issues during the run & stopped to take a few photos of the views, so will definately aim to do it again & do myself justice. In short: The hills, the views, the pain, the smiles, What a Race! In full: Another top event from the Trionium guys and gals. We were blessed with a perfect day for it but even in howling wind and rain it would have been an awesome run. No where near as killer as the mid summer munroe but enough hills to keep you focussed.
In short: Second year and even better than the first. In full: Trionium events are all run like clockwork. Each is a joy to run. They seem to get better year by year. The Greensand Marathon is in a particularly gorgeous area and the views are stunning. Perfection. Date of review: October 21, 2010
In short: Tough but rewarding scenic trail run In full: (review my Stuart Everard-March, bib #66)
I've heard about the Dr. Rob dude. He's the man apparently. Well orgnaised, slick, great value. What you get for your trail running buck, is incredible.
Finishers get a technical zippy long sleaved shirt, with all runners names on the back - smashig touch! That's with the corking medal, logo'd bum bag, and english brekkie at the end.
The course it self is very enjoyable. Some steep climbs and nicely soft under foot along the trails too, hardly any tarmac, just the odd connecting trails bit. Good support from crews and fellow trotters.
I'll try another of these guys events, and will be back for the Greensands next year, with friends. A happy & most enjoyable day out. See you there! Date of review: October 21, 2010
