In short: A run out over the Yorkshire Hills
In full: A great, well organised half marathon. A challenging course but a good race for those training for a spring marathon. Found the steep downs as hard on the legs as the ups. Well done to all for putting on a great event.

In short: hills ?
In full: read all the reviews and comments from last year and was dreading the hills....i only actually remember 1 which was mile 9 - 10 up past the golf course. I spoke to a runner on the way up and asked what he thought of the race so far and his reply "i live in york....we havent got hills in york" to which i replied " i run in the borders and this is relatively flat"....maybe broke his heart but it really is a fantastic race... marshals were fantastic as is the shirt given at the end....well worth a 400 mile round trip..thanks to the organisers and spectators...see you all next year

In short: Liversedge Half Marathon
In full: My first half marathon, I'd heard horror stories about the infamous 'hills' however although challenging, there were adequate flat sections to aid recovery and gain some ground!

A fantastically organised event, friendly atmosphere and really good course.

In short: Hilly
In full: Good mix of ups and downs make this a challenging and interesting course. The organisation and atmosphere are great and the shirt given out at the end is unique (one for history lovers). Will certainly be back next year.

In short: Great race! Hard, but a fair test & feels great when you've finished!
In full: Excellent organisation & encouraging marshalls. Memorable hills: short sharp hill before 3M, steep downhill to 5M, nasty hill over the bridge around 7M and a longish drag up to 10M are all etched in my memory. Mainly downhill/flat after this, but for some reason I found the last half mile the hardest. Lovely views on the higher stretches. Overall loved it, but boy did I ache the next day! Not a PB course (or if it is, do another flat one soon after 'cos you'll be quicker!), but great fun and an excellent training run. I'll be back!

In short: Thank you again RRR
In full: fifth time in a row ive done this one...well it would be rude not too as I live in Spen!Brilliant announcer so welcoming...great changing facilities and the collection of numbers was superb well done to RRR.The race well started off great but the wind took its toll up Windybank and hartshead missed my course pb by 1 min and felt flat at the end, felt physically sick at the end due to a massive cold which has dogged me for a fortnight. But hey thanks roberttown you are really nice folk and I will be back again in 2012.Like the tee shirt reminds me off a somesort of guest beer..hope to be at the real ale festival in the summer and deffo for the roberttown 7.Thanks again team at RRR. 10/10.
