In short: A grand day out
In full: Extremely well organised (I was obviously too slow to be aware of the whole 'mat' scenario). Only my second 10k, so managed to scrape a PB but set off too quick and paid for it on the hill (I knew it was coming, so my own fault. Thanks to the lady who turned and asked if I was all right - I thought I'd got away with disguising my weariness as a 'gel-stop'!). Great marshalls, nice warm-up, excellent facilities. Ran through a load of nettles after about 100m (that was my own fault too!).

In short: A cracking race, thoroughly enjoyed it.
In full: A good atmosphere and moreso after being offered a small taster of wine before my wave started. As others have mentioned it was little costly to enter but you are rewarded with the freebies, goody bag and slick organisation. Definately looking out for these races in the future.

In short: Awesome
In full:
PS. The texting of your finish time is ace, I was 8 mins faster than my Garmin had told me (glitch) and when my faster time came through I was very happy.

Don't change a thing, you guys have nailed it.

In short: Probably the best 10K Trail race Ive entered ! ( Ive completed quite a few )
In full: I agree with most of the comments so far. So Im not the only one that stopped at the first mat! If it was removed later why was it there in the first place. That said this is the only fault in a well managed event where everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everything seemed to go like clockwork, well done to all concerned.Forget the high ish entry price you get at great deal for your money.

In short: An 'event' rather than a 'race'.
In full: Couldn't run under orders of the physio but turned up to support friends. Great 'village', lots going on and great organisation. Got my goodie bag and t-shirt despite not running. Good feedback from friends who ran, although more like hard packed vehicle tracks than proper trails, and as someone who does a lot of off-road stuff I wouldn't really consider this race as giving beginners a taste of proper 'trail running'.

In short: Every race should be like this!
In full: Other races will just seem bland compared to this! A great atmosphere with lots going on for all the family gave it a real day out feel. The race itself was great too and the route challenging enough to push you. Probably the best race I've entered so far.

In short: One of the best organised and friendliest events I have been too.
In full: Great day today - my first trail run and I want to enter another!!
Well organised and very friendly, fab idea to have the free massages pre & post race who were chatty with everyone.
Good atmosphere and despite the long slow hill up this is a great race for new runners. Well done to the organisers....great job!
