In short: Tough, but worth the effort
In full: I used this race as hill training in my marathon schedule and I don't know if I'd want to out and out race this one without an oxygen tank half way up each hill! The weather could've been better but that was out of anyone's control and there were plenty of black bin liners being handed out to anyone who needed them at the start.

The organisers did a great job and the marshals were all very supportive and happy, despite having to stand in the rain for 2 to 3 hours.

The only small gripe I've got is that I was handed a goody bag and told it contained a small t shirt, when in fact it contained a large one...oh well, I've got another night shirt.

In short: A challenging start - straight up the first of four hills, in spitting rain. Another one at mile three, and a real cracker at mile 8, only to be finished by one last summit at mile 10. All downhill to the finish. Loved every minute.

In short: Well organised and enjoyable event.
In full: Hills were challenging but in only my second half marathon I didn't find them insurmountable. Found the encouragement from the marshalls a real help.

In short: Well organised and scenic. What more can you ask for
In full: The hills are hard but half the achievment of doing this race is to say you didn't walk up them. A good race

In short: Challenging hills and weather conditions were smoothed by consistently cheerful marshalls . . thoroughly enjoyed this one . . or maybe it's just the last couple of miles I can remember?
