In short: Not good.
In full: Don't know how people got a pb - the wind killed the race. Can't blame the organisers got that, but no type of goody bag at the end killed the race all together for me.

In short: Did the goody bags get pinched?
In full: An exceptionally windy morning in Blackpool, thankfully the rain held off. Route a bit tedious but predominantly flat and the few inclines not that steep. Definite PB potential on a good day (I got one today, how much fatser without the wind I wonder!). Last year it snowed, this year bad winds - next year they should move it to March. Shockingly bad value for money - cheap medal and bottle of water at the end. A banana would've been nice. I've entered smaller, cheaper events which put this one to shame in terms of value for money.
Don't think I'll bother next year - after the reviews on here might head down to Tunbridge Wells instead!

In short: Great PB potential, not worth the money though!
In full: The course was fair enough, the wind is crazy, i cant help but think this run would be nicer a month later on in the year. No goody bag whatso ever. No tee either. This years medal is nicer than last years though, but not nice enough to get me to return to do this one again. Not worth £22 entry, or the 2.25 hours travelling to it! Thanks Blackpool, but i wont return for this race!

In short: A new PB even with the wind
In full: The rain stopped just in time for the start. Good race, well marshalled and supported along the route. The wind made about 8 of the miles difficult but still got a PB. Definetly do it again next year

In short: Decent run along the sea front.
In full: Good off road race, challenging due to wind and small inclines.Location fine and use of the hotel a bonus, would have liked an energy bar or drink at the end.

In short: Fast course (weather dependent) Decent race. little pricey
In full: Nice fast course.

By the coast, so coastal winds make things 'interesting'

bottles of water at stations. not quite sure why they positioned one right at the bottom of a small ramp when they have 3 or 4 miles of completely flat tarmac afterwards

a technical tshirt would have been nice but not essential. however, for £22 id have appreciated something to eat/drink at the finish. Someone handing out milkshake/banana/mars bar/sweetsdoesnt cost that much?!

Would enter again if i lived locally but wouldn't travel far.

In short: Good race, glad it went ahead. Great for beginners.
In full: Despite the criticisms that seem to be going on I enjoyed this race again (3rd time I've done it) - once the snow had cleared up I thought it was the best running conditions I have yet experienced in Blackpool (but I guess I only know it in February!) I think the organizers did well to keep the race on and clear the snow. Well done and I shall be back next year!

In short: Fast flat course - worth the trip for the PB potential alone!
