In short: A very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning In full: A small friendly race, well organised, minor roads and narrow forest trails. A bit hilly in places but last 3 miles mostly downhill and fast. Very nice day out. Date of review: June 27, 2006
In short: wonderful day In full: At the briefing beforehand the organiser quoted 'scenic but challenging' and thats exactly what we got. Just been away for two weeks on hols and didn't run a yard. very pleasantly surprised (considering the terrain)at finishing in 1.32. agreed totally about the butties for lunch!!! well done the organisers. lovelly day out! In short: I nice friendly race for all abilities In full: The course is mostly on roads, but with very little traffic. The route is well designed so that the second half is easier than the first since it is mostly flat or down hill, which makes it good very PB potential.
The organisation is very good, the support from marshals is excellent and there are mile markers every mile; which makes it one of the best 10 milers I've done. Date of review: June 25, 2006
In short: Tough but fair In full: Really enjoyed this, like Liz says, there are hills but they're short enough not to worry you. The greasy egg & bacon rolls make a wonderful Sunday lunch after the race. Date of review: June 25, 2006
In short: a great race fairly undulating in the first half but nothing too big In full: A great run that was well organised over both road and footpaths as this was my first 10 miles i took it easy but wish i had tried a bit harder in the first half as i never did find a really bad hill most of them that were steep were short 50metres at the most will definetly do it again next year Date of review: June 25, 2006
