In short: Fantastic scenery, course well marked and marshalled In full: ... and a bottle of local beer in the goody bag! Sounds like heresy but this might just have ousted Beachy Head as my all time favourite off-road marathon Date of review: September 17, 2012

In short: Amazing, challenging, great marshalls and organisation for it's first run.. In full: For a new and almost completely off road marathon with complications of the terrain, passing through villages, across railway lines and with 3 or 4 major climbs, with spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast , this was an amazing marathon, especially considering it was the first one! Very encouraging marshalls, welcoming water stations, and a great finish along the sea front to enjoy the applause and cheers of the crowd. Not for those who want a pb or like nice flat road marathons, a truely unique course ... brilliant (and great technical t and medal and goody bag!) Date of review: September 17, 2012

In short: Excellent new offroad marathon, hard but worth it! In full: Tough ascents and descents throughout the course, but stunning views wherever you look. Well supported by marshals and the public. Lands on a busy weekend in the local race calender, but I'll be back for more soon. Date of review: September 17, 2012

In short: ...OMG...I can't move! REALLY enjoyed it ;0) In full: ...so, BBC Review: "Elite runners...club runners...we had to limit entries to HARDENED runners - OMG I should have read the small print ;0)GREAT run, HARD - but manageable because it offered a varied course and the scenery was AWESOME! Marshalls - THANK YOU, your encouragement was appreciated! Slightly 'clubby', kind of made 'one' feel like the underdog! I sacrificed a place in the GNR for this - I can't walk BUT it was worth it! Bring on next year. Date of review: September 16, 2012

In short: 2000ft? seemed like more. In full: Test yourself to the limit (and beyond..is that possible?) Difficult ascents and descents with uneven/narrow/steep gradients. Difficult enough when dry this would be an 11 difficulty course with rain + the clay underfoot.
Well signed and marshalled. Plenty of water-stations (jelly-babies next year?). Excellent goody-bag (Tec t-shirt, apple and cake, local beer, and a local ice-cream) nice medal. There was a free massage after the run.
In an ideal world there would be showers and changing facilities. Date of review: September 16, 2012
