In short: Deceptively tough
In full: Good combination of road and off-road with more than it's fair share of punishing hills. No place for a PB but a thoroughly enjoyable run through some nice scenery. Only one water station but i'm told the tea and cakes were very good and reasonable.

In short: Scenic but challenging!
In full: Very scenic race - a mixture of road and trail. Well organised, with encouraging marshals and bottled water at the finish. Some of the pavements were very narrow with nettles either side or sharp drops to the road which made overtaking interesting - if it could be organised, then road closures would make it a better race. Another improvement would be to spray trip hazards such as tree roots and pot holes with that orange paint that lots of other races use. I looked up to see one guy do a somersault and seconds later went flying myself.
