In short: Too tough for an East Yorkshire road runner In full: Lots of hills (all up) lots of rocks, a bit of mud, several bottle necks (including a bollard in the middle of entrance onto bouncy bridge). Really hard work, not a course for PB’s or close to them. The toughest event I have done so far. Nice bottle of beer for finishing. Now it’s behind me a think I enjoyed it – sort of. Not sure how valid the time is as the distance would depend on the route taken through the wood up the hill! Good atmosphere and organisation. Date of review: April 10, 2007

In short: Fabulous welcome home by a big bunch of Skyrac runners. In full: Never done it before, but made to feel very welcome. Skyrac organise a newcomers training session on the Tuesday after the race - what a good idea! I'm still too slow to join a club but maybe one day! Date of review: April 9, 2007

In short: great in good weather In full: really enjoyed this race - definately not a PB course, but lovely scenery. Slow start due to congestion, and had to queue at bottlenecks, but will definately be back next year. Date of review: April 9, 2007

In short: Challenging event around Esholt In full: One to savour rather than race, towards the back anyway. Enjoyable way to spend Easter Sunday running around the water works, along the canal and up (and down) through the woods. Congested in places so expect a slower than normal pace. Good event worth doing if just for the change. Date of review: April 8, 2007

In short: Good job it was a nice day In full: I can imagine it would be a mud fest in poorer weather, especially up the hill in the woods, but in glorious sunshine, it was almost enjoyable, even that sneaky hill at the end. No chance of a PB with the bottlenecks, so leave your watch at home and enjoy the views. Date of review: April 8, 2007

In short: Lovely scenery, first bridge a bit scary ! In full: First time for this one, but worth the trip. Nice scenery, and good to run down the canal bank, although some of the narrow tracks were a bottle neck, so not a PB course. First bridge looked like it had neve had more than 3 people on it before, very shaky going across, ran as quick as I could ! Nice mix of runners, and well worth turning out for the bottle of beer ! In short: The best way to spend easter sunday In full: The fourth time I have done this race and the hills at the end still catch me out, but I love it. Seems to be more popular every year and deservedly so Date of review: April 17, 2006
