In short: Fast route, great organisation, great marshalls, superb medal & technical T-shirt.
In full: It delivers every year. Great atmosphere and slick organisation. Very helpful & enthusiastic marshalls. Top quality medal & technical T-shirt. Faultless event! They even got the weather about right.

In short: Good Race - Fairly Flat - Excellent Support
In full: Really enjoyed this race Made better by the weather. Route was good and didnt mind the slow start as there was plenty of opportunity to catch up afterwards. Really Good Atmosphere had a good chat about other races with other runners after the race.

Criticism really was the water. Its too difficult to drink when running with a plastic cup. Get some bottles next year!

Anyone else spot Dwight Yorke Cheering everyone on at the end of the 1st road?

In short: From the car parking to the post race massages the organisation was excellent
In full: Parking - good
Toilets-enough
Changing and showers-available
Support on course-loud and enthusiastic
Marhals-plenty and helpful
Water-plenty
Course - a bit more uphill on the way back than I had anticipated but fast enough for a PB
Finish-wide and fast and good support
Drinks at the end-plentiful
Goody bag and things - nice to have a medal/tshirt and bag with "Championship"on them
Results - helpful guys in the club house gave me my result straight away and on line that afternoon
Photos-on line that evening
Leaving the venue-quite quick but getting back onto the main road took some time

In short: Well organised fast race, Couldn't ask for more.
In full: Pros: Well marshalled, plenty of water on route (also the odd person offering vaseline), each mile clearly signposted, fast course, 10k split time provided in addition to overall times, text of chip times received shortly after race. Plenty of parking. Plenty of water and soft drinks handed out at end of race. Goody bag contains nice tech T shirt. Rugby club serving tea etc before and after the race, also serving burgers after the race. Friendly atmosphere.

Cons: Bit crowded at start but can only be expected with 5,000 runners. Slow going for the first half mile with the road overcrowded and a struggle to get past runners and reach a decent pace. Start and finish are in different places and it felt a bit of a walk (on tired legs to get back to the car park.

In short: Well organised race
In full: My 7th Wilmslow and the least enjoyable, but that's down to the fact that I had a really poor run with stomach cramps all the way through. I've no idea why; it's never happened before. Anyway, it gives me chance to talk about an experience towards the back end of the field. The race limit of 2.35 was quite strict, as I was just slower than that, and had been overtaken by the "last runner" vehicle and the roads had re-opened. The race commentator had given up when I came home, but there were still plenty of medals and goody bags which were cheerfully given out by the always helpful marshalls. At the finish, I was given a cup of water, and I asked if there were any energy drinks. I was directed to a table where there was a choice of flavours and invited to help myself. I think the real test of a race is how the marshalls and helpers behave when they have been standing around for hours waiting for the stragglers to come in. Well this year I put that to the test, and I think they passed with flying colours. Am I right in thinking that there are usually expected finish time markers at the start which were not there this year? I found the medal a slight disappointment, as I was hoping to add to my collection of paperweights. I'll be back next year, hoping not to have the opportunity to comment on how they handle the stragglers!

In short: Great race coulde be even greaterer with a few changes !!!
In full: Not so good points -
Cups at water stations !!!!!! If this was a local 10k run then fair enough. For the standard of race and the cost of entry this is rubbish. Best way to get a stitch trying take onboard some fluid! And no sports drink ??!!
This is the biggest single drawback to this race.
Not very clear signing for the different time slots at the start.
The mile markers need to be clearer on the course. Just one board on side of the road!If your in a group it's very easy to miss them and as this race is sold as being great for a PB , then milemarkers are very important. Doesn't have to be expensive , just balloons or something.
The finish area for supporters is rubbish. Loads of choke points which need looking at.
The field used for car parking over the road from the rugby club had no toilets.

Good Points -
Loads and loads of friendly marshalls everywhere!
Really good route , nice mix of flat and small hills (more undulations than hills )
Brilliant goody bag - best medal I've had. Nicely made and nice and weighty. Felt substantial.
Definitely the best t shirt I've had. A navy tech t shirt with some detail about the race on the left breast. Means I can wear it to the gym , for a run , or even to the pub without looking like a "look at me I've done a race" idiot.
Finish was very smooth for the runners.
I've done a few races which employ TDL who do the timimg. Superb service. Got a text with my gun and chip times and positions within a few minutes of finishing which I really liked. especially as it was a PB !!
Overall a race to take part in at some point in your running "career" , but they really have to change the cups for bottles and have a sports drinks station at around the 7 mile mark.

In short: A great race
In full: This was my 2nd time, and thoroughly enjoy it. Can't fault anything - maybe more loos setup at start.
I didn't drink from water stations on route - but if had bottles there would be bottle full of water being thown everywhere and would prove very dangerous.
Nice getting the medal and tech t-shirt.

In short: Text Book Half Marathon
In full: Lined up near my predicted time at start, and got away fine;
I've never had a problem drinking out of plastic cups;
lovely mostly flat course, with a few minor undulations to keep it interesting;
superb organisation in all respects;
great medal and technical tee;
loved it!

In short: Well organised, enjoyable race.
In full: A well organised event with some excellent marshalling and support. Very nice medal and t.shirt, too. Bottled water at the end would have been preferable to the flimsy cup and hosepipe combination, though. And something to eat other than a Mars Bar, but that might just be me!
Overall a favourite race, and improving every year. Unlike my times!
