In short: Flawless organisation again - great event
In full: Organising an event on this scale cannot be easy, especially when the weather has gone from one extreme (very hot last year) to the other (Siberian winds this year). Doing a course inspection for a 5.15am update, regular, timely updates about car parking and weather, huge massage tent, co-ordinating marshals from lots of local organisations (hats off to them, today's conditions were horrendous for marshalling), decent mementos - all made for a fantastic event.

The course undulates but is very fast, there is plenty of vocal support along the way and very well stocked and staffed water stations (no congestion at water stations makes a big difference). Road closures all the way help a lot too.

Fantastic event, well supported, all the facilities a runner needs and a great fast course, the most unique race t shirt I've ever been given - what more do you want?

In short: Great race, incredible marshals
In full: As ever, brilliantly organised race, especially this year in the freezing conditions. Marshals were outstanding. Thank you guys, used this as training run to London marathon, nice to finish a half not dead on my feet. Odd choice of t shirt but overall, top race as ever. Be interesting to see how many runners cried off

In short: Good as ever
In full: Boy was it cold ( bit of a contrast with last year's heat wave) but as ever an superbly organised and enjoyable race. Nice size field - enough to create a great atmosphere all the way round, but not so many that you can't run at your own pace. A few inclines here and there to ginger things up, but overall a pretty flat race on good surfaces and potential for fast times.

In short: Great race but expensive
In full: It continues to be one of the more expensive half marathons but it is a favourite of mine.
Despite being out of sorts and putting in a woeful performance on the day, the fact that it is such a scenic race kept me going, despite wanting to stop after mile 3!
I still can't understand where the money goes though!

In short: Brilliant marshals and well organised
In full: As everyone has said it was unusually warm for March but then being British we'd complain if it had been chucking it down!! I personally would also prefer bottled water - even smaller 250ml bottles - as I can't run and drink from cups and it did cost me valuable time but then at least I got some water and didn't pass out...

The plentiful, cheery marshals were just superb! Big thank you to all of them for their encouragement and support around the entire course, it really did help.

The course was slightly more "undulating" than I'd anticipated with one incline in the latter stages that nearly killed me off but I did think it was nice course to run.

Bit of a mare trying to get out of the rugby club at the end but there were 4,000 runners in a predominantly residential area trying to escape at the same time.

Overall, well done to Wilmslow Running Club for organising a great event and I'll be back next year!

In short: Great half marathon
In full: 3rd time I've ran the half marathon and each time have PB'd - so obviously one of my faves! Very well organised, friendly race. Nearly missed the start due to traffic - so, make sure you leave with plenty of time people! Bottles are easier to drink from, but most people just take on a bit then throw away so personally I think cups are better. If really need to drink the lot, stop.

In short: Great Race but please - take your rubbish home!
In full: I love this race. Very friendly, well organised and glorious weather this year which added to the challenge. Can't make my mind up whether to agree with the comments about the water or not – I struggle to drink from the cups but they are great for throwing over your head - which in the heat we had was a good option! Bottled water is easier to drink but the selfish minority who drop their almost full bottles in the middle of the road create a bit of a hazard for those in their wake - it's like kicking a brick! So I can't make my mind up which is best.
Don't like the iPod runners - have to agree that they run blissfully unaware of being in the way of ambulances or other runners trying to get past - happily stabbing me in the face with their elbows as I fight my way between them and the kerb! They’re not allowed on safety grounds so leave them at home.
But finally a plea to all runners to take their gel wrappers home with them. We ran through some beautiful rural areas on Sunday with countryside around us but I saw lots of runners throwing their empty gel packs into hedges, fields and onto verges without a thought for the long term consequences.
It is still dropping litter – don’t do it – take it home – Thank you!!
