In short: Nice race, well organised, for charity.
In full: Nice little race on quiet trails/roads.
Well organised with lots of marshals.
Results printed for collection afterwards.
Few hills, but still PB potential.
Great cause.

In short: Excellent, quick 10k race
In full: Race 3 of 32 this year, and a really well organised, quick 10k. Start/finish clearly marked, registration a doddle, and Dr Ron Hill at the start. Who could ask for more? Despite my GPS watch running out of battery early on, the course was easy to pace, and very well marshalled. All in all, a lovely experience. Will be back.

In short: great well organised race!!!
In full: What a race... I had heard a lot of negatives, too many hills etc.!!! what a load of cobblers!! I was misguided with my directions to the start, so was still in Chorley at 10.49, made it to the Shawes Arms (via parking in Park & Ride navigated by a very helpful marshall)to find I was rather late, i.e. race had already started!! Picked my number up, directed by the very helpful number people at the start and made my way....Got a bit lost (went the wrong way) but eventually found a marshall who told me which way to go (in a friendly manner!). I was then accompanied by a very helpful sweeper upper on a bicycle, who gave me plenty of encouragement and directions until we met up with the rest of the race. I found it a most enjoyable race, very well organised, excellent marshalling, lovely scenery, & Hills? one or two slopes maybe, but those were not hills!!! Also, fantastic momento at the end, what more could a runner need at this time of year? Hat and gloves!! brilliant!! I shall definately try and get to this race next year and recommend it to others with the fantastic marshalling and organisation!! Thank you so much everybody!!! xxx

In short: Misinformed a lot of the time but nice route
In full: I was disappointed with the mis-information the bloke at the start told us it was flat, for a new runner it really wasnt! I was told at 2.8 miles I was over half way, I was told "its all down hill from here" yet I had three more hills to go, I was told "this is your last hill" yet I had one more to go! Finally the finish was very poorly marked so people were not sure where to go and were re-directed by runner who were finished. Finally the finish line itself was not clear! I was told lots of runners were asking if they could stop yet? Also very dangerous race HQ - the old one was much better. Runners had to cross a very busy duel carriage way, only 30 but still very busy and the directions to parking were pretty poor causing a kerfuffle on the main road as cars pulled over at the HQ. A simple sign would have saved a lot of trouble. However most of the marshalls were encouraging and the scenery was very pleasent. It would have been nice to have mile markers at one and two rather than waiting till 3.

In short: Well done to the organisers and volunteers/marshalls, Great job
In full: 4th time I've ran this race (1st time for the new start/finish area) and I would recommend this run for all abilities, some hills make it more interesting but mostly flat, a lot of it is off road on good tracks and trails, great scenery

In short: ...hilly in parts, some off road trails through the park, boarder-line PB race?
In full: ...good start to the race calendar! well marshalled, tough but welcoming course. Lots of off road running through parks and trails. Some steep inclines in parts so might suit a PB. Well attended, around 500 I think. First 2k was a bit aukward as we were sent from the main raod onto a narrow path (all got a bit congested), but after that there was plenty of room to stretch your legs! Race fee was donated to charity, so all in a good cause!...momento at end was a bit strange....'hat and gloves set?'..personally would have preferred a medal...just something to look back on when I'm telling the grandkids how good I was!...would certainly do it again!
