In short: Very wet 10k
In full: This was my first Accrington 10k. It was a well organised and marshalled race. No drinks stop but it is only 10k so wasn't really bothered.

Unfortunately the heavens opened and it rained heavily. Having never run in the rain this was a new experience for me. I was soaked through by the end.

Definately a pb potential here. First 3 miles are very fast, and later hills are not that challenging.

Good race, will do again next year.

In short: My first race, after 7 weeks training, never having run before. It was really wet and the back hill was a killer. I did 59mins 48 secs. I was ecstatic :-)

In short: Can be fast if you go hell for leather down the hills
In full: Long uphill stretch 2nd half of race but not steep, so can be a fast race if you don't hold back in first half (all downhill). Very wet. Felt sorry for all the marshalls, helpers & supporters who were all fantastic.

In short: Well organised, friendly - but wouldn't call it fast!
In full: The course basically runs down a big hill (make some time up down here) then back up again a different way (when you'll lose it again!). The uphill's never steep but goes on for a good 2 1/2 miles. Really friendly club organisers and marshalls, and very well organised - definitely one to do agan, but in today's weather not a PB course.
