In short: Safe, scenic & fast
In full: Pros: Thanks to the marshals for well placed direction and encouragement. Nice T-shirt, parking and changing facilities. A flat and fast course with only a couple mildly testing undulations. Plenty of vocal support for the local runners. I was grateful for the bottle rather than a cup at the water station. I’ll be back…

Cons: The handheld loud hailer was next to useless unless you were in the first 3 rows. As previously mentioned; chip timing with only a mat at the end?!?

In short: A good event, chip timing aside...!
In full: A very enjoyable event and I would definitely recommend this. However, I do have to say that in my humble opinion, chip timing is of limited value when there is no timing mat at the start, only one at the finish. I've encountered this before in other events and can never quite understand why the organisers bother with only half a job. That said, this is a race to be recommended: well organised, very friendly and nice and flat.

In short: Quality t-shirt, chip timing, easy parking - Potential for PB if not so hot!!
In full: Again another glorious summer day for this race, great for spectators, but bit too warm for running!! A whole bottle of water at about half way was most welcome, along with a quality technical t-shirt (VLM why could't you do that!!) Encouraging Marshalls. Well organised number/chip collection. Happy days!!

In short: Hit the spot again
In full: Well organised, fast course, safe with mad mile being closed to traffic. Good quality technical T-shirt. And they ban portable music players for the race!

In short: Excellent race as always!
In full: My second year of competing in this race and having marshalled it back in 2008 as well, I can say with confidence that it just keeps getting better and better! Well done to the club for fantastic organisation and the marshalls for doing a wonderful job again. A great race on a reasonably flat course, and a great morning out for the family too with such a 'carnival' atmosphere at the HQ.

In short: Quality Short Race.
In full: Well organised, good venue, very well marshalled - closure of start / finish roads and around the marker to mile 3 makes it very safe for runners.
The course is flat to mildly undulating so good for the speed freaks.
For £10 it is very generous - a technical t-shirt and a goody bag with 3 drinks and 2 snacks.
And there's gun to finish chip timing as well.

In short: Well organised, fast course, well marshalled, friendly atmosphere and quick presentation
In full: Generally very positive - well organised, fast course and really enojoyable. Only three things to improve to make it perfect - the start was a bit confusing (no gun or whistle), the entrance to the field at the end is quite uneven and slows you down and there was no clock at the finish. Will definitely be back next year.
